1. Mold Design

CAD Modeling: The process begins with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create a detailed 3D model of the dustpan. This model defines every aspect of the dustpan's shape and function.

Feature Planning: During the design phase, factors like the handle shape, lip design, and angle of the dustpan are taken into account. Special features such as air vents (for easier ejection of the part), ejection pins, and cooling channels are incorporated into the mold design.

2. Mold Prototyping

A prototype mold or an initial trial is created to test the design and ensure that the dustpan's form and function meet the desired specifications.

The prototype is tested with the chosen plastic material, and adjustments are made based on results (e.g., fixing warping issues, improving ejection).

3. Mold Production

After testing and approval of the prototype, the final mold is manufactured.

4. Injection Molding Process

Once the mold is ready, the injection molding machine injects molten plastic into the mold under high pressure.

The mold is cooled, and once the plastic has solidified, the mold opens, and the dustpan is ejected from the mold.

5. Quality Control and Testing

Every batch of dustpans produced with the mold undergoes rigorous quality control to check for defects such as cracks, weak spots, and dimensional accuracy.

Dimensional measurements are taken to ensure that the dustpan meets the required tolerances and specifications.
